Mitch Barnett

Mitch Barnett developed his interest in real estate as an undergraduate at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. After graduating from Southwestern with a degree in business, Mitch obtained a Texas real estate license in 2007 and worked for a commercial real estate brokerage firm in Austin, Texas.

After meeting the experience and education requirements in 2012, Mitch passed the real estate broker exam and became a licensed Texas real estate broker. A few months later, Mitch met John Hill over lunch and the two started brainstorming about how to combine his broker’s license with John’s management staff and maintenance team. Barnett & Hill Real Estate Services was incorporated in early 2013 and Mitch left his job as District Director for Congressman Randy Neugebauer to pursue the business full-time in 2014.

In addition to real estate sales and management for clients, Mitch owns investment property in Abilene. Outside of work, Mitch has served as a trustee at Southwestern University. Currently, Mitch serves on the Young Professionals and Governmental Affairs committees at the Abilene Chamber of Commerce.
